I decided to respectfully decline a full-time position as Software Engineer at netzkontor nord gmbh after graduating with my Bachelor's Degree.
Although I had an awesome time at netzkontor, I was too excited to start another Working Holiday in New Zealand after having such a positive experience during my previous Working Holiday in Canada in 2017.
I wanted to continue developing software and build personal projects like Emotes On My Mind while abroad.
Kept supporting previous freelance IT-Projects like "In Kontakt bleiben" and "Digital Door Signs" during my time in New Zealand.
Landed in Auckland and lived there for the first six months.
Made friends from New Zealand, England, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan and more.
Went through a bunch of successful interviews for jobs as Software Developer, however ended up losing out to other applicants due to my very restricted Working Holiday Visa.
Moved to Christchurch for the second half of the year and went back into hospitality.
Had a lovely time here with great balance between work & travels - simply enjoying life!
My sister decided to join me in Christchurch too which made it even better!
Probably one of the best places to retire one day... :)
