Travelling
I could be considered somewhat of a travel addict :)
In my mind, travelling can be split into multiple categories:
- Holidays: renting a house in Denmark for a week with friends/family, or sitting at the pool and drinking spicy margs all day.
- Adventures: road-trips where you explore one city after another and do activities like hiking, rafting, etc.
While this is fun and all, I couldn't do either for longer than a couple of weeks.
Instead, I love staying in one place for a little while to get a feeling for the city's real life & vibes, explore local
cuisine, find comfy spots like libraries and cafés, and work a remote job.
During my time off, I can choose freely between holidays and adventures in a foreign country - the perfect balance! :)
Bucket List
Taiwan
Countries like Thailand, Japan and South Korea have been popular travel destinations for many years now. Taiwan on the
contrary is slightly more niche (at least for now).
During my travels, I've made lovely friends from Taiwan and met many that visited with overwhelming reviews! It makes me
very excited to visit soon for the food, hospitality, comfort, technology and scenery :)
With the right remote job, I'd probably try to stay for 3+ months.
South Korea
Although I've already been to South Korea in April 2025, I'd love to go back for a second trip. Next time I want to see
Jeju Island and visit my friends in Busan!
Similar to Taiwan, I could easily stay for a couple of months at least.
Australia
I lived in Melbourne for almost an entire year and I wish it could've been even longer. During that time I was primarily
working, which resulted in me not seeing much of the country. So next time want to travel the west, go further north
past Townsville and fly down to Tassie!
With the right visa, I'd be excited to stay longer-term as well :)

Interests & Hobbies
Over the years I have tried a lot of different sports, each teaching me a variety of skills:
- Field Hockey for 20+ years
- Tennis for 6+ years
- Swimming for 3 years
- Rowing for 1 year
- Athletics for 1 year
- probably some more that I'm forgetting right now
Although I love team sports and action, I am also someone who enjoys simple solitude - be it for playing video games, watching movies or working on personal projects.
Field Hockey
I played Hockey for over 20 years - pretty much ever since I was able to walk. It taught me how to play & coordinate in a team, and it will forever be my favorite sport.
Curiosity
I am constantly striving to learn new things: cultures, food, technologies, languages, people, experiences,... - really anything that's new is interesting to me.
Movies & TV Shows
A classic "hobby". I won't claim to be the most knowledgeable movie fanatic - I just enjoy watching 'em.
There's no specific genre but to get a rough idea:
- I don't know how many times I've watched Brooklyn Nine-Nine by now.
- Binged all of Elementary and Stranger Things in less than a month.
- Can't go wrong with movies by Christopher Nolan or anything featuring Denzel Washington.
- The Marvel Universe, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings all had great movies, but I don't know what's going on today.
- Arrival has one of my favorite endings ever in a movie.
- I feel like we're right on track to make Idiocracy a reality...
Gaming
Gaming has been a huge passion of mine from the good old Gameboy-days, to the Nintendo DS, Wii and finally the PC.
League of Legends
I played LoL since Season 1 and made many friends along the way. While I'm not actively playing these days, I am
still following the news and join into ARAMs (Mayhem) from time to time :)
I've never been much of a competitive player. My highest rank was somewhere around Plat-Diamond, with a normal-game MMR
between high Diamond and Master tier.
Minecraft
Started with Minecraft in the very early days. I still remember how I installed mods from sketchy websites and had to
manually move around .zip-files to various directories to make them work.
Every year there was at least one month, where I fully committed to Minecraft - not just vanilla but rather the biggest
Modpacks I could find with all the technology, machines, quests and additional complexity like in Project Ozone 2.
Satisfactory
A great game that I spent a couple-hundred hours on, satisfying my creativity & perfectionism by building giant and highly efficient factories.
Pokémon
My first ever Pokémon game was Leaf Green and I played it and its predecessors all the way through Soul Silver. At some
point I did play Crystal, and newcomers like White and Y as well, but nothing after that.
I'm glad I got to play during the (in my opinion) golden times, before Pokémon were able to turn into stupid Bikes and
what not :D
Warframe
I haven't played Warframe in the past years, but it will forever remain one of my favorites. It's a high quality
free-to-play Action-RPG with very satisfying movement & combat, and a lovely community!
If I had more time these days, I'd pick it back up right away.
ARC Raiders
A fairly new game that I enjoy playing on the US-East servers due to how very aggressive the European servers are. I prefer the communicative & helpful vibes over a full on competitive war-simulator just because no one speaks English here in Europe :D
