Hey there! :)

I'm Tilman, a 28-year-old software engineer with a passion for building safe & reliable systems - just like most other developers.

What sets me apart is my attention to detail. Although part of my striving for perfectionism requires extra effort, the results are usually worthwhile.
I love getting creative, thinking ahead and adding small QOL (quality of life) improvements to deliver user-friendly applications with minimal bloat.

I've been actively coding for 8+ years:

• started in 8th grade with simple programming and relational databases
• graduated my bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science at the HS Flensburg
• worked with a handful of companies, both employed and as a freelancer.

I am fortunate to be part of an incredibly loving family. My younger brother, sister and I are very close. We share a lot of support for each other and travelled together on the other side of the world.

Speaking of travelling - it has taught me a lot over the years. I had to adapt to situations & languages in many different countries.
Ever since my graduation in 2016, I lived and worked in three countries outside of Europe:

• Canada (2017)
• New Zealand (2023/2024)
• Australia (2024/2025)

...and I'm excited to keep adding to this list!

That's why I'm actively looking for remote opportunities where I can contribute to meaningful projects, while maintaining the flexibility to explore more countries, cultures and food around the world.
